The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 those who humble themselves in their prayer, 2 And who keep aloof from what is vain, 3 pay their religious tax 4 and restrain their carnal desires 5 except with their wives and what their right hand possess, and then they are not blamed. 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 these are the heirs 10 Who shall inherit Paradise; therein they shall be abiders. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure, and lodged it in the earth, and We are able to take it all away. 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 And Verily! In the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat. 21 And on them and on the ship ye are borne. 22
