O ye messengers! enjoy (all) things good and pure, and work righteousness: for I am well-acquainted with (all) that ye do. 51 Your religion is but one religion -- and I am your only Lord, therefore, fear Me. 52 But they cut off their religion among themselves into sects, each part rejoicing in that which is with them. 53 So leave them to their ignorance for a time. 54 Do they think that in giving them wealth and children 55 We hasten unto them with good things? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Indeed those who are overwhelmed due to the fear of their Lord – 57 And those who in the signs of their Lord do believe. 58 Those who join not (in worship) partners with their Lord; 59 And those who dispense their charity with their hearts full of fear, because they will return to their Lord;- 60 These hasten to good things and they are foremost in (attaining) them. 61 We charge not any soul save to its capacity, and with Us is a Book speaking truth, and they shall not be wronged. 62 Nay, their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this; and their deeds too vary from the way (mentioned above). They will persist in these deeds 63 Until, when We grasp those of them who lead a luxurious life with punishment, behold! They make humble invocation with a loud voice. 64 Cry not for succor this day; surely you shall not be given help from Us. 65 My Signs were rehearsed to you and you turned back on your heels and took to flight, 66 Stiff-necked, discoursing thereof by night, reviling. 67 Pondered they not over the Word? or came there unto them that which came not unto their fathers ancient? 68 Or is it, perchance, that they have not recognized their Apostle, and so they disavow him? 69 Do they say he is mad! No, he came to them with the truth, but most of them hate the truth. 70 If truth had followed their whims and desires, heavens and earth and all that lives in them would have been brought to ruin. Rather We have brought them their Reminder. Yet they keep avoiding their Reminder. 71 Or dost thou [O Muhammad] ask of them any worldly recompense? But [they ought to know that] recompense from thy Sustainer is best, since He is the best of providers! 72 And certainly, you (O Muhammad SAW) call them to a Straight Path (true religion Islamic Monotheism). 73 But those who believe not in the Hereafter turn away from the straight path. 74 ۞ Were We to be merciful to them and remove from them their present afflictions, they would persist in their transgression, blindly wandering on. 75 We seized them with the punishment, but they did not surrender to their Lord, nor will they humble themselves 76 until We open before them a gate of [truly] severe suffering [in the life to come]: and then, lo! they will be broken in spirit. 77
