3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 "Peace upon Noah among the worlds." 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 He turned to his Lord with a sound heart 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 And he cast a glance at the stars, 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 [But] then the others came towards him hurriedly [and accused him of his deed]. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaq, a Herald of the Hidden, from among those who deserve Our proximity. 112 We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls. 113
