Al-Dukhaan 2 of 3
We did deliver aforetime the Children of Israel from humiliating Punishment, 30 from Pharaoh who was most prominent among the prodigals. 31 And We knowingly chose them, among all others of their time. 32 and bestowed upon them the Signs wherein lay an evident test for them. 33 Yet those who deny the truth say, 34 "That [which is ahead of us] is but our first [and only] death, and we shall not be raised to life again. 35 So bring our fathers [back], if what you say is true. 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba' and those before them whom We destroyed? They were surely sinners. 37 And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play. 38 We created them with definite purpose; but most of them do not understand. 39 The Day of Judgement is your promised day of meeting, 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 save him upon whom God has mercy; He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 42
