What, are you stronger in constitution or the heaven He built? 27 He lifted up its vault, and levelled it, 28 He has made its nights dark and its days bright. 29 and the earth which He spread out, 30 and then brought from it its water and pastures. 31 and making the mountains firm: 32 All this was done as a means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. 33 When the great calamity comes, 34 The Day when man shall remember what he strove for, 35 and Hell is advanced for whoever sees, 36 Then, as for him who rebelled 37 And who preferred the life of the world, 38 The Abode will be Hell-Fire; 39 However, those who had feared their Lord and restrained their souls from acting according to its desires. 40 most surely his abode shall be Paradise. 41 They ask thee about the Hour,-'When will be its appointed time? 42 What do you have to do with explaining it? 43 Your Lord alone knows when it will come; 44 you are but a warner for those who fear it. 45 On the day when they see it, it will seem to them as though they had only lived in the world for a morning and an afternoon. 46
