The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 As they sat around it 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
