The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 Those who in their prayer are lowly. 2 Who avoid vain talk; 3 Who strive for betterment; 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 (Prosperous are those) who preserve their trusts and pledges 8 and who guard their Prayers. 9 Those are the heirs 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up. 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 And We send down water from the skies in accordance with a measure [set by Us,] and then We cause it to lodge in the earth: but, behold, We are most certainly able to withdraw this [blessing]! 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palm and vines; for you therein are fruits many, and thereof ye eat. 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 and are carried on them and also on ships. 22
