The people of Aykah also gave the lie to the Messengers. 176 when their brother Shu'ayb said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 177 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 178 Have fear of God and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and cause no loss to others. 181 And weigh with a balance straight. 182 do not defraud people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not spread corruption in the land. 183 Fear Him who created you and those who have gone before you." 184 They said, 'Thou art merely one of those that are bewitched; 185 You are only a human being like ourselves. Indeed we think you are a liar. 186 “Therefore cause a part of the sky to fall upon us, if you are of the truthful.” 187 He said: "My Lord is the Best Knower of what you do." 188 But they denied him, so there came on them the retribution of the day of gloom. Lo! it was the retribution of an awful day. 189 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 190 your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 191
