Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
