Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Hast thou seen him who cries lies to the Doom? 1 It is he who turns down the orphans 2 And encourages not the feeding of the indigent. 3 So woe to those that pray 4 who are heedless of their prayers (delaying them from their prescribed times), 5 Those who (want but) to be seen (of men), 6 And withhold things of common use (from others). 7
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
