And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate to Adam," and they prostrated, except Iblees; he refused. 116 Then We said: Adam! verily this is an enemy unto thee and thine spouse; so let him not drive forth you twain from the Garden, lest thou be destressed. 117 "Here you shall not go hungry or be naked, 118 you shall not thirst, nor feel the sun's heat." 119 Then Satan whispered to him saying, 'Adam, shall I point thee to the Tree of Eternity, and a Kingdom that decays not?' 120 And Adam and his wife ate of it, and their private parts became apparent to them, and they began to fasten over themselves from the leaves of Paradise. And Adam disobeyed his Lord and erred. 121 Thereafter his Lord accepted him, and relented toward him, and guided him. 122 He said: Get forth you two therefrom, all (of you), one of you (is) enemy to another. So there will surely come to you guidance from Me, then whoever follows My guidance, he shall not go astray nor be unhappy; 123 “And the one who turned away from My remembrance – for him is a confined existence, and We shall raise him blind on the Day of Resurrection.” 124 He will say, "My Lord, why have you raised me blind while I was [once] seeing?" 125 He (Allah) will say: 'It is so, Our verses came to you and you forgot them. So this Day you are forgotten' 126 Thus We shall reward the transgressor who denies the signs of his Lord. But the suffering of the life to come is more terrible and more lasting. 127 Is it not a guidance to them, how many generations We destroyed before them in whose dwelling-places they walk? Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 128
