And assuredly unto the household of Fir'awn came the warning. 41 They rejected each one of Our signs. So We seized them with the grip of one mighty and powerful. 42 Are your unbelievers (of Makkah) any better than they? Or have you been granted any immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Do they say, "We shall be victorious because we are united?" 44 The group will soon be routed, and will turn their backs to flee. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter. 46 The evil-doers are indeed sunk in error and folly -- 47 The Day they will be dragged in the Fire on their faces (it will be said to them): "Taste you the touch of Hell!" 48 We have indeed created all things by measure; 49 And Our commandment shall be but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have indeed destroyed many a people like you. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 51 All their deeds are recorded in their books: 52 And every small and great thing is recorded. 53 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers, 54 Firmly established in the favour of a Mighty King. 55
