Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the bright forenoon, 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And did He not find you in want, and then enriched you? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
