Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 Nay, in time you will come to understand! 3 Indeed you will come to know soon. 4 Indeed, did you know with certain knowledge 5 Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
