The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 in towering columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
