Victory (Al-Fatt-h)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Surely We have given thee a manifest victory, 1 That Allah may forgive you your sins of the past and the future, and complete His Favour on you, and guide you on the Straight Path; 2 And that Allah might help you with a mighty help. 3 It is He Who instilled peace in the hearts of the believers, so that it may increase their strength of conviction; and to Allah only belong the armies of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is All Knowing, Wise. 4 [And] that He may admit the believing men and the believing women to gardens beneath which rivers flow to abide therein eternally and remove from them their misdeeds - and ever is that, in the sight of Allah, a great attainment - 5 And [God has willed] to impose suffering [in the life to come] on the hypocrites, both men and women, and on those who ascribe divinity to aught beside Him, both men and women: all who entertain evil thoughts about God. Evil encompasses them from all sides, and God's condemnation rests upon them; and He has rejected them [from His grace,] and has readied hell for them: and how evil a journey's end! 6 And to Allah belong the soldiers of the heavens and the earth. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise. 7 Surely We have sent you as a witness and as a bearer of good news and as a warner, 8 That ye (mankind) may believe in Allah and His messenger, and may honour Him, and may revere Him, and may glorify Him at early dawn and at the close of day. 9 Those who pledge obedience to you are, in fact, pledging obedience to God. The hands of God are above their hands. As for those who disregard their pledge, they do so only against their own souls. Those who fulfill their promise to God will receive a great reward. 10
