Truly, it is the sending of the Lord of the Worlds. 192 The Trusted Spirit hath brought it down. 193 upon your heart (Prophet Muhammad), in order to be one of the warners, 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 And most surely the same is in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe in it till they behold the painful doom, 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 and they will say, 'Shall we be respited?' 203 Do they wish Us then to hasten the punishment? 204 What thinkest thou? If We give them enjoyment of days for many years, 205 And then the promise that is given to them, does come upon them- 206 (How) that wherewith they were contented naught availeth them? 207 And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners 208 By way of admonition, and We have never been oppressors. 209 It was not the satans who brought it down: 210 And it behoves them not, and they have not the power to do (it). 211 indeed they are debarred from overhearing it. 212 So call on no other god but God, lest you are condemned to torment; 213 And warn thy clan, thy nearest kin. 214 And lower thy wing to the Believers who follow thee. 215 And if they disobey thee, say thou: verily I am quit of that which ye work. 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 who can see whether you stand up 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 Verily! He, only He, is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. 220 Shall I inform you, (O people!), on whom it is that the evil ones descend? 221 They descend on every forgerer steeped in sin, 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; 224 Hast thou not seen how they stray in every valley, 225 and how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
