We swear that We have created the human being and We know what his soul whispers to him. We are closer to him than even his jugular vein. 16 (Remember!) that the two receivers (recording angels) receive (each human being after he or she has attained the age of puberty), one sitting on the right and one on the left (to note his or her actions). 17 Not a word he uttereth but there is with him a watcher ready. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: "This is what you have been avoiding!" 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown: that will be the Day whereof Warning (had been given). 20 Each soul will come with a driver and a witness. 21 [It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp." 22 And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared." 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 "Who set up another ilah (god) with Allah, then (both of you) cast him in the severe torment." 26 ۞ His accompanying devil said, “Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he himself was in extreme error.” 27 (It was said): “Do not remonstrate in My presence. I had warned you. 28 The Sentence that comes from Me cannot be changed, and I am not unjust (to the least) to the slaves." 29

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
