۞ Those who do not expect a meeting with Us say, "Why are angels not sent down to us?" Or "Why do we not see our Lord?" Surely, they are too proud of themselves and have greatly exceeded all bounds. 21 The Day they see the angels,- no joy will there be to the sinners that Day: The (angels) will say: "There is a barrier forbidden (to you) altogether!" 22 And We will proceed to what they have done of deeds, so We shall render them as scattered floating dust. 23 Fellows of the Garden shall be on that Day in a goodly abode and a goodly repose. 24 A day when the heaven with the clouds will be rent asunder and the angels will be sent down, a grand descent. 25 The real sovereignty will belong to Ar-Rahman. How grievous will be the day for the infidels! 26 It will be a hard day for the unbelievers. It will be a day when the unjust will bite their fingers, (regretfully) saying, "Would that we had followed the path of the Messengers. 27 Oh, would that I had never chosen such a one for my companion -- 28 He led me astray from the Remembrance after it had reached me, satan is ever the foresaker of humans' 29 And the Messenger has said, "O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur'an as [a thing] abandoned." 30 For so it is that against every prophet We have set up enemies from among those who are lost in sin: yet none can guide and give succour as thy Sustainer does! 31 And those who disbelieve say: wherefore is the Qur'an not revealed unto him entire at once! Thus - We reveal - that We may establish thy heart therewith; and We have repeated it with a repetition. 32 And they come not unto thee with a similitude but We bring thee the truth and an excellent interpretation. 33 [And so, tell those who are bent on denying the truth that] they who shall be gathered unto hell upon their faces - it is they who [in the life to come] will be worst in station and still farther astray from the path [of truth]! 34
