The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the racers, panting, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And is intractable in his love of worldly goods. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
