Moses said: "O my Lord, enlarge my breast, 25 "And ease my task for me; 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 so that they might fully understand my speech, 28 and appoint for me, from my household, someone who will help me bear my burden - 29 Aaron my brother 30 "Increase my strength with him, 31 And associate him in my affair. 32 so that we exalt You 33 and remember You much: 34 Surely You know us well." 35 He said: surely thou art granted thy petition, O Musa! 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on thee another time (before). 37 When We inspired to your mother what We inspired, 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 Recall, when your sister went along, saying: 'Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him?' Thus We brought you back to your mother so that her heart might be gladdened and she might not grieve. Moses, recall when you slew a person. We delivered you from distress and made you go through several trials. Then you stayed for several years among the people of Midian, and now you have come at the right moment as ordained. 40 And I have attached thee to Myself. 41 "Go forth, [then,] thou and thy brother, with My messages, and never tire of remembering Me: 42 "Go, both of you, to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience and behaved as an arrogant and as a tyrant). 43 "And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear Allah." 44 'O our Lord,' said Moses and Aaron, 'truly we fear he may exceed against us, or wax insolent.' 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 They came to the Pharaoh and told him that they were the Messengerss of his Lord and that they wanted him to let the Israelites go with them and stop afflicting the Israelites with torment. They told the Pharaoh, "We have brought miracles from Our Creator. Peace be with those who follow the right guidance. 47 It is revealed to us that those who call our message a lie or turn away from it will face the torment." 48 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Who then, O Musa (Moses), is the Lord of you two?" 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 Moses said, "My Lord alone has knowledge of that, recorded in a Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle; most surely there are signs in this for those endowed with understanding. 54
