We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
