Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

DESTROYED WILL BE the hands of Abu Lahab, and he himself will perish. 1 His wealth and gains will not exempt him. 2 He will suffer in a blazing fire 3 And his wife, the portress of fire wood, 4 In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad (palm fibre). 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
