Verily this is a Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds: 192 The honest Spirit (Gabriel) brought it down 193 Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners - 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 who would have read it to them, they (pagans) would not have believed in it. 199 Even so, We have caused it to enter into the hearts of harmdoers: 200 They will not believe therein until they behold the torment afflictive. 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are not aware, 202 Then they will exclaim, "Could we have some respite?" 203 Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more, 205 and then Our torment will strike them, 206 of what avail to them will be all their past enjoyments? 207 Never have We destroyed a habitation till We had sent admonishers to them 208 and reminded: for, never do We wrong [anyone]. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 It would neither suit them nor would they be able (to produce it). 211 Verily far from hearing are they removed. 212 So do not call upon another god with Allah, lest you should be one of those who are punished. 213 And admonish thy nearest kinsmen, 214 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. 215 If they disobey you, say, "I bear no responsibility for what you do." 216 And rely upon (Allah) the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 and observes your movements among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Verily He! He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. 222 Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Have you not seen them wandering and bewildered in every valley 225 And they speak what they do not do? 226 [Most of them are of this kind] save those who have attained to faith, and do righteous deeds, and remember God unceasingly, and defend themselves [only] after having been wronged, and [trust in God's promise that] those who are bent on wrongdoing will in time come to know how evil a turn their destinies are bound to take! 227
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
