Al-Qamar 2 of 3
[AND the tribe of] Thamud gave the lie to all [Our] warnings; 23 And said: "Should we follow only one man among us? In that case we shall be in error and insane." 24 Out of all of us has the Reminder been given to him alone? Rather, he is indeed an arrogant liar' 25 It was said to Saleh, “They will soon realise tomorrow who is the mischievous great liar.” 26 Indeed, We are sending the she-camel as trial for them, so watch them and be patient. 27 And tell them that the water is to be divided between them: Each one's right to drink being brought forward (by suitable turns). 28 Eventually, they summoned their companion, and he undertook the (outrageous) task and hamstrung the she-camel. 29 Then, how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warnings? 30 We sent upon them a single blast of sound and they were left like hay to be used by the cattle. 31 And We have indeed made the Qur’an easy to memorise, so is there one who would remember? 32 LOT'S PEOPLE [too] gave the lie to all [Our] warnings: 33 We sent against them a violent Tornado with showers of stones, (which destroyed them), except Lut's household: them We delivered by early Dawn,- 34 As favor from us. Thus do We reward he who is grateful. 35 Lot warned them of Our punishment, but they disputed the warnings -- 36 Even his guests they had solicited of him; so We obliterated their eyes, saying, 'Taste now My chastisement and My warnings!' 37 And in truth the punishment decreed befell them early in the morning. 38 We said, "Suffer Our torment of which you were warned". 39 And We have indeed made the Qur’an easy to memorise, so is there one who would remember? 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
