Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 noble scribes 11 who know all that you do: 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
