And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ Of his party was also Abraham; 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you – therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good 110 He was one of Our believing worshipers. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
