Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
