The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Recite: In the Name of thy Lord who created, 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 The One Who taught to write with the pen. 4 Has taught man that which he knew not. 5 And yet, but yet man is rebellious, 6 That he thinketh himself independent! 7 Surely to your Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen him who forbids 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Hast thou considered whether he is on the right way, 11 or if he commands others to maintain piety!? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Let him beware! If he desist not, We will drag him by the forelock,- 15 A lying, sinful forehead. 16 So let him summon his helpmates; 17 We too would summon the braves of the army. 18 (Muhammad), never yield to him! Prostrate yourself and try to come closer to God. ۩ 19
Almighty God's Truth.
