Animals (Al-An 'aam)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
ALL PRAISE is due to God, who has created the heavens and the earth, and brought into being deep darkness as well as light: and yet, those who are bent on denying the truth regard other powers as their Sustainer's equals! 1 It is He who has created you from clay to live for a life-time and the span of your life is only known to Him. You are still suspicious!. 2 And He is Allah (to be worshipped Alone) in the heavens and on the earth, He knows what you conceal and what you reveal, and He knows what you earn (good or bad). 3 Never came there unto them a revelation of the revelations of Allah but they did turn away from it. 4 And now they reject the truth when it reaches them: but soon shall they learn the reality of what they used to mock at. 5 See they not how many of those before them We did destroy?- generations We had established on the earth, in strength such as We have not given to you - for whom We poured out rain from the skies in abundance, and gave (fertile) streams flowing beneath their (feet): yet for their sins We destroyed them, and raised in their wake fresh generations (to succeed them). 6 And had We sent down unto thee a Book written upon parchment so that they could have touched it with their hands, those who disbelieve would have said: this is naught but magic manifest. 7 And they say: "Why has not an angel been sent down to him?" Had We sent down an angel, the matter would have been judged at once, and no respite would be granted to them. 8 And if We had made him an angel, We would have made him [appear as] a man, and We would have covered them with that in which they cover themselves. 9 And indeed, [even] before thy time have apostles been derided - but those who scoffed at them were [in the end] overwhelmed by the very thing which they were wont to deride. 10
