The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Noah said to them: "Will you not take heed? 106 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 107 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 108 I ask of you no recompense for it, for my only reward is with the Lord of the Universe, 109 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me. 110 ۞ They said, 'Shall we believe thee, whom the vilest follow?' 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they may have been doing (in the past)? 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if you could (but) know. 113 And I am not going to drive away the believers; 114 I am none but a plain warner." 115 They said: if thou desistest not, thou shalt surely be of those stoned. 116 He said: my Lord! verily my people have belied me. 117 So adjudge between me and them conclusively, and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 We saved him and those who were with him in a fully laden Ark, 119 Then We drowned the rest afterwards 120 Verily there is a sign in this, yet many of them do not believe. 121 But surely your Lord is mighty and merciful. 122
