Do not think Allah is heedless of the evil deeds in which the evil-doers are engaged. He is merely granting them respite until a Day when their eyes shall continue to stare in horror, 42 Racing ahead, their heads raised up, their glance does not come back to them, and their hearts are void. 43 And warn mankind of the day when the chastisement comes on them, And those who did evil shall say, 'Our Lord, defer us to a near term, and we will answer Thy call, and follow the Messengers.' 'Ah, but did you not swear aforetime there should be no removing for you? 44 You lived in the dwellings of those who wronged themselves, even though it was made clear to you how We dealt with them. We also showed you examples." 45 They plotted their plots, but their plots are (known) to Allah, even though their plots were such as to move mountains. 46 Think not that God would go back on His promise (made) to the apostles. Indeed God is mighty, the Lord of retribution. 47 On the Day when the earth will be changed to another earth and so will be the heavens, and they (all creatures) will appear before Allah, the One, the Irresistible. 48 And thou shalt see the sinners that day coupled in fetters, 49 Of molten pitch shall be their garments, their faces covered with flames, 50 That Allah may requite each person according to what he has earned. Truly, Allah is Swift at reckoning. 51 THIS IS A MESSAGE unto all mankind. Hence, let them be warned thereby, and let them know that He is the One and Only God; and let those who are endowed with insight take this to heart! 52
