And when your Lord called out to Musa, saying: Go to the unjust people, 10 and ask them, "Why do you not fear God?" 11 : He said: "O Lord, I fear that they will deny me. 12 "And my breast straitens, and my tongue expresses not well. So send for Harun (Aaron) (to come along with me). 13 As for me, they hold the charge of a crime against me. I fear they will put me to death." 14 Allah said: "By no means! proceed then, both of you, with Our Signs; We are with you, and will listen (to your call). 15 So go you to Pharaoh, and say, "Verily, I am the Messenger of the Lord of all Being; 16 Send the Israelites with us". 17 (Firon) said: Did we not bring you up as a child among us, and you tarried among us for (many) years of your life? 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst, and thou wast one of the ingrates. 19 Moses replied: "I committed that act erringly. 20 "So I fled from you when I feared you. But my Lord has granted me Hukman (i.e. religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood), and appointed me as one of the Messengers. 21 And [as for] that favour of which thou so tauntingly remindest me - [was it not] due to thy having enslaved the children of Israel?" 22 The Pharaoh asked: "And what is the Lord of all the worlds?" 23 'He' (Moses) replied: 'is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if you believe' 24 Said Firaun to those around him, “Are you not listening with attention?” 25 He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of old. 26 [Pharaoh] said, "Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad." 27 He said, “The Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them; if you have sense.” 28 [Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned." 29 He said: even though I bring unto thee something manifest? 30 Said Firaun, “Then bring it, if you are of the truthful.” 31 So (Moses) threw his rod, and behold, it was a serpent, plain (for all to see)! 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
