▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ No! I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 And verily that is a mighty oath, if ye but knew! 76 Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 It is a revelation sent down from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Is it such a Message that ye would hold in light esteem? 81 And instead (of thanking Allah) for the provision He gives you, on the contrary, you deny Him (by disbelief)! 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat, 83 And you at that time look on-- 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 if you are not subject to anyone's authority, 86 Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful 87 If he is among the near 88 (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights. 89 And if he was of the companions of the right, 90 he will be greeted with, "Peace be to you," by those on the Right. 91 But if one happens to be of those who are wont to call the truth a lie, and [thus] go astray, 92 then he will be served boiling water, 93 And burning in Hell-fire. 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 Then praise your Lord, the most supreme. 96
God the Almighty always says the truth.
