(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
