A multitude of those of old 39 And a (goodly) number from those of later times. 40 And those on the left hand: What of those on the left hand? 41 They will find themselves in scorching wind and scalding water, 42 And in the shades of Black Smoke: 43 neither cool, neither goodly; 44 They were endowed with good things 45 And they have been persisting in the heinous offence. 46 It was they who said, "Shall we be resurrected after we die and have turned into dust and bones? 47 What, and our fathers, the ancients' 48 (Muhammad), say, "All the ancient and later generations 49 shall be gathered together to the appointed time on a known Day' 50 Then indeed you, O those astray [who are] deniers, 51 Will eat of the tree of Zaqqum, 52 and fill your bellies with it, 53 and thereupon you shall drink boiling water, 54 like a thirsty camel". 55 This is their entertainment on the day of requital. 56 We created you; therefore why will you not believe? 57 Have you considered the seed? 58 did you create it or did We? 59 We have incorporated death in your constitution, and We shall not be hindered 60 In the matter of exchanging you for others, and to transform you into what you do not know. 61 And you have already known the first creation, so will you not remember? 62 So what is your opinion regarding what you sow? 63 Is it you who cause it to grow - or are We the cause of its growth? 64 If We so wished, We could have reduced your harvest to rubble, and you would have been left wonder-struck to exclaim: 65 "Verily, we are ruined! 66 Nay, but we have been deprived [of our livelihood]!" 67 Have you considered the water which you drink? 68 Is it you who sent it down from the clouds or is it We who have sent it down? 69 If We willed We verily could make it bitter. Why then, give ye not thanks? 70 Have you thought about the fire you kindle? 71 Is it you that originated its tree, or are We the Originator? 72 We have made it a reminder, and a blessing to the traveler. 73 Therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) proclaim the Purity of the name of your Lord, the Greatest. 74

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
