We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
