Bring to mind Our servant Job who cried to his Lord, "Satan has afflicted me with distress and suffering." 41 Urge with your foot; here is a cool washing-place and a drink. 42 And We bestowed on him (again) his household and therewith the like thereof, a mercy from Us, and a memorial for men of understanding. 43 and, 'Take in thy hand a bundle of rushes, and strike therewith, and do not fail in thy oath.' Surely We found him a steadfast man. How excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 44 Remember Our votaries Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of power and insight. 45 We chose them for a special [purpose] -- proclaiming the message of the Hereafter: 46 They are the chosen ones, the excellent in Our sight. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhul-Kifl, and all are among the outstanding. 48 This is a Message (of admonition): and verily, for the righteous, is a beautiful Place of (Final) Return,- 49 Gardens of perpetual residence, whose doors will be opened to them. 50 Therein will they recline (at ease): Therein can they call (at pleasure) for fruit in abundance, and (delicious) drink; 51 ۞ And with them will be virgins of refraining looks and of equal age. 52 This is what you are promised for the Day of Reckoning: 53 Most surely this is Our sustenance; it shall never come to an end; 54 This: and verily for the exorbitant there shall be an evil retreat: 55 Hell! Where they will burn, and worst (indeed) is that place to rest! 56 This - so let them taste it - is scalding water and [foul] purulence. 57 And other [punishments] of its type [in various] kinds. 58 'This is a troop rushing in with you; there is no Welcome for them; they shall roast in the Fire.' 59 They shall say: Nay! you-- no welcome to you: you did proffer it to us, so evil is the resting-place. 60 They say, “Our Lord! Whoever has brought this calamity upon us – double the punishment of the fire for him!” 61 And they say: What aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the wicked? 62 Took we them so unjustly for a butt of mockery, or are they deluding our eyes? 63 Surely that is true -- the disputing of the inhabitants of the Fire. 64
