In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 and the severally severing 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 As justification or warning, 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 for an appointed term? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 The living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
