The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heavens with constellations, 1 by the Promised Day, 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
