Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 Some faces that Day shall be downcast with fear, 2 laboring, wornout, 3 They shall roast into the scalding Fire, 4 They will be given drink from a boiling spring. 5 No food will there be for them but a bitter Dhari' 6 unfattening, unappeasing hunger. 7 [Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure. 8 Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). 9 They will be in a lofty Garden 10 Never hearing idle talk. 11 There is a stream of running water in it; 12 Wherein are couches raised 13 And goblets ready placed! 14 And cushions ranged! 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Look they not at the camels, how they are created? 17 how heaven was lifted up, 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm? 19 And at the earth, how it is outspread? 20 Remind them, for thou art but a remembrancer, 21 you are not their keeper. 22 But whoever will turn away (from the Truth), 23 him will God cause to suffer the greatest suffering [in the life to come]: 24 Indeed only towards Us is their return 25 In Our hands are their accounts. 26
