The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By oath of the late morning, 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
