The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Read: In the name of thy Lord Who createth, 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Read and your Lord is Most Honorable, 3 The One Who taught to write with the pen. 4 taught Man that he knew not. 5 Yes indeed, man is surely rebellious. 6 For he thinks he is sufficient in himself. 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the returning. 8 Bethinkest thou him who forbiddeth, 9 A votary when he (turns) to pray? 10 What is your opinion – if he were upon guidance, 11 or bade to godfearing -- 12 Did you consider: what if he gives the lie (to the Truth) and turns away (from it)? 13 Does he not realize that God sees him? 14 Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - 15 A forelock, lying, sinning. 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 No indeed! Do not obey him, but prostrate yourself and come closer to God. ۩ 19
Almighty God's Truth.
