O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Taiyibat [all kinds of Halal (legal) foods which Allah has made legal (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits, etc.)], and do righteous deeds. Verily! I am Well-Acquainted with what you do. 51 And verily, this community of yours is one single community, since I am the Sustainer of you all: remain, then, conscious of Me! 52 But they (men) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its belief. 53 So leave them to their ignorance for a time. 54 Do they think that We enlarge them in wealth and children, 55 We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand. 56 Indeed, they who are apprehensive from fear of their Lord 57 And they who believe in the signs of their Lord 58 who consider nothing equal to their Lord, 59 And those who dispense their charity with their hearts full of fear, because they will return to their Lord;- 60 These are hastening on to good, and they are therein foremost. 61 And We tax not any person except according to his capacity, and with Us is a Record which speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 Nay, their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this; and their deeds too vary from the way (mentioned above). They will persist in these deeds 63 until We seize with Our chastisement those of them that are given to luxuriant ways. They will then begin to groan. 64 'Groan not today; surely you shall not be helped from Us. 65 My Signs were rehearsed to you and you turned back on your heels and took to flight, 66 “Priding yourself in serving the Sacred Mosque; at night you utter indecent stories in it, while discarding the truth.” 67 Have they, then, never tried to understand this word [of God]? Or has there [now] come to them something that never came to their forefathers of old? 68 Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are toward him disacknowledging? 69 Or do they say, "He is possessed"? Nay, he has brought them the Truth, but most of them hate the Truth. 70 If truth had followed their whims and desires, heavens and earth and all that lives in them would have been brought to ruin. Rather We have brought them their Reminder. Yet they keep avoiding their Reminder. 71 Or are you asking them for any reward? But the reward of your Lord is the best, for He is the Best of Providers, 72 But verily thou callest them to the Straight Way; 73 but, behold, those who will not believe in the life to come are bound to deviate from that way. 74 ۞ Even if We showed them mercy and relieved them of their afflictions, they would still persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 We inflicted Punishment on them, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor do they submissively entreat (Him)!- 76 until We open before them a gate of [truly] severe suffering [in the life to come]: and then, lo! they will be broken in spirit. 77
