Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
And the dwellers of Al Hijr also belied the Messengers. 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. 82 But the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the morning hour, 83 Then availed them not that which they had been earning. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the great Qur'an. 87 Do not strain your eyes towards the worldly benefits We have bestowed on some of them, nor grieve on their account. Lower your wing of mercy for the believers 88 And say: "I am a distinct warner," 89 As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians). 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, 92 As to what they did. 93 Preach what you have been commanded to and stay away from the pagans. 94 We will, surely, suffice you against those who mock, 95 Those who ascribe another God along with Allah; so they will soon come to know. 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 But hymn the praise of thy Lord, and be of those who make prostration (unto Him). 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
