It is He who sends down water from the skies; you drink thereof, and thereof [drink] the plants upon which you pasture your beasts; 10 and by virtue of which He causes crops and olives and date-palms and grapes and all kinds of fruit to grow for you. Surely in this there is a great Sign for those who reflect. 11 And He hath constrained the night and the day and the sun and the moon to be of service unto you, and the stars are made subservient by His command. Lo! herein indeed are portents for people who have sense. 12 And there are also Signs for those who take heed in the numerous things of various colours that He has created for you on earth. 13 And it is He Who subjected the sea for you, so you eat fresh meat from it, and extract ornaments from it which you wear; and you see ships ploughing through it and in order that you may seek His munificence and that you may give thanks. 14 And He placed mountains as anchors in the earth so that it may not shake along with you, and streams and roads for you to find course. 15 and waymarks; and by the stars they are guided. 16 Is the One who can create equal to the one who cannot create anything? Why, then, will you not consider? 17 For, should you try to count God's blessings, you could never compute them! Behold, God is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace; 18 and God knows all that you keep secret as well as all that you bring into the open. 19 Those whom they invoke besides Allah create nothing and are themselves created. 20 they are dead, not living, and they do not [even] know when they will be raised from the dead! 21
