And the trumpet shall be blown, and lo! from the tombs unto their Lord they shall be hastening. 51 "Woe betide us!" they will say, "Who has roused us from our sleep?" This is what the Lord of Mercy promised: the messengers spoke the truth! 52 It would be but a single blast of the trumpet, and they would all be arraigned before Us. 53 So this day no soul shall be dealt with unjustly in the least; and you shall not be rewarded aught but that which you did. 54 Surely the inmates of Paradise will be engaged in pastimes. 55 They and their wives, in pleasant shade, on thrones reclining; 56 Theirs shall be fruit therein and theirs shall be whatsoever they ask for. 57 (It will be said to them): Salamun (peace be on you), a Word from the Lord (Allah), Most Merciful. 58 But avaunt ye, O ye guilty, this day! 59 ۞ Children of Adam, did I not make a covenant with you, that you should not worship satan he is surely a clear enemy to you 60 But that ye worship Me? That was the right path. 61 And certainly he led astray numerous people from among you. What! could you not then understand? 62 This is the Hell that you were promised. 63 Roast in it now for having disbelieved." 64 This Day, We shall seal up their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their legs will bear witness to what they used to earn. (It is said that one's left thigh will be the first to bear the witness). [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 22, Page 24] 65 If it had been our Will, We could surely have blotted out their eyes; then should they have run about groping for the Path, but how could they have seen? 66 And if We please We would surely transform them in their place, then they would not be able to go on, nor will they return. 67
