HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 and covered them with torment. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
