The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the night when it envelopeth, 1 And by the day as it appears in brightness; 2 And by Who created the male and female, 3 Certainly, your efforts and deeds are diverse (different in aims and purposes); 4 As for he who gives and fears Allah 5 and confirms the reward most fair, 6 We will pave his way to ease. 7 But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need 8 and calls the ultimate good a lie 9 We will ease him toward difficulty. 10 And his riches will not avail him when he falls headlong (into the Abyss). 11 Indeed guiding is upon Us. 12 and to Us belong the Last and the First. 13 So, I warn you of the blazing Fire. 14 in which no one will suffer forever except the wicked ones 15 Who denied (the truth) and turned away. 16 One who fears God shall be kept away from it -- 17 Who giveth away his substance that he may be cleansed, 18 And is under no one's obligation to return his favour, 19 Except only the desire to seek the Countenance of his Lord, the Most High; 20 And he shall soon be well-pleased. 21
Almighty Allah's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
