And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 And they hewed houses in the mountains in security. 82 and so the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at early morn, 83 And that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not. 84 We have not created but with reason the heavens and the earth and all that lies within them. The Hour (of the great change) is certain to come. So turn away (from them) with a grace. 85 Indeed your Lord only is the Great Creator, the All Knowing. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the great Qur'an. 87 So covet not things We have bestowed on a portion of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and protect those who believe; 88 And say: "I am indeed a plain warner." 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 About all what they used to do. 93 So declare to them what We have enjoined, and turn away from idolaters. 94 verily, We shall suffice thee against all who [now] deride [this message - all] 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 And surely We know that your breast straitens at what they say; 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 And worship thy Lord until there cometh unto thee the certainty. 99
